Crabby Jack’s information
Lonely Planet review
Jack’s, about two miles west of Riverbend, is owned by the folks who own Jaques-Imo’s and generates the atmosphere of the latter before it became one of the most popular restaurants in town. It’s humble but eccentric Creole and Cajun fair, with dark, strongly spiced gumbo, mouthwatering duck po’boys and kooky art all over the walls. The staff sass you playfully while they dance to Bubba Sparxxx, and all in all this is an excellent local’s joint. Located just outside of town on the way to Jefferson. To drive here (and you will need wheels, as it’s off the highway) head west along S Claiborne Ave until the road becomes a highway, and Jack’s is on your left.
