Lonely Planet review for Clover Grill

Gay greasy spoon? Yup. It's all slightly surreal, given this place otherwise totally resembles a '50s diner, but nothing adds to the Americana like a prima-donna-ish argument between an out-of-makeup drag queen and a drunk club kid, all likely set to blaring disco music. The food is dependable diner fare and good for a hangover, or for those who can see the hangover approaching.

    Best Dressed Burgers!

    lisachavis recommends this,

If your body is craving grease from all of the alcohol and spicy food you've consumed in New Orleans, the Clover Grill is the place to go. Just up Bourbon Street from many of the gay bars, the cute waiters often sing and dance through the crowded tables and counter while your burger and fries cook up under a hubcap on the grill. "Dressed" means with everything on it.

Breakfast here is also greasy great! It's typically packed, so be prepared to wait a few minutes until a stool or chair clears out. But you're standing on Bourbon street waiting, so there is always something fun to see.
