Yellowstone in Late April / Early May

Hi everyone
We are traveling from Europe to Denver from 27th to the 3th. We have a Meeting in Denver on the 28th. The rest of the trip is time off.
As we have neverbeen near Yellowstone we are willing to take the car ride up there even for only a couple of days.

But I have found out that parts of the Roads in yellowstone opens mid-may. :(

we also want to swing by mountrushmore if possible.

Any travel, rute, motels/hotels or sights advise would help us. Specially rute :)

Late-night airport shuttle from Denver DIA to Boulder

While I usually take the RTD Skyride from Boulder to DIA, this time my Saturday return flight lands at 11:35PM. I'll have only carry-on luggage, but that's too late to catch the latest RTD bus or SuperShuttle. Do you know of good alternatives?

Thanks!

Californian deserts

Hi everyone,
I'm going to LA for two weeks until mid-January. I'm planning to go to the desert for about five days. I'd like to go through an immense, infinite, flat, 'clean' lunar landscape desert. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you so much!

My buddy has already been to Las Vegas and toured the Grand Canyon and so won't be joining me on that part of my trip, I am not a seasoned traveller and am not keen on staying in Las Vegas on my own. I'm planning on mid Feb as my buddy wants to start her road trip around then. I was thinking around a week's stay. I'm not looking to splash out and am not a gambler, although I won't mind dabbling!…
