Ms Mae’s information
The vibe at this famed dive – one of the toughest in the city – isn't exactly warm and fuzzy, especially if you're a solo-traveling chick. But late-night with friends? It’s a dark den of all that is sinful and fun. Every thread of the human tapestry gets woven into this great, grotty hole.
Ms Mae sold the bar in 2010, but this legendary place keeps on. Despite its gritty reputation, we hear she always kept the women’s bathroom immaculately clean. And it does sit across the street from the police precinct. There’s even a website dedicated to the stupid behavior folks inevitably engage in here (http://msmaeswallofshame.blogspot.com).
