Lonely Planet review
Having declined to raise its rates to match its neighbors, Carlsbad's best hotel, in a grand downtown building that started life as the First National Bank in 1892, is now strangely among the cheapest in town. Friendly and family-run, it has an excellent restaurant. The sitting room of one suite is inside the old vault; another still has a bullet hole.
Our independent authors have visited Trinity Hotel and selected this as one of our recommended boutique hotels in Carlsbad.
