Lonely Planet review
On a downtown side street, this small boutique hotel has been polished to its original Federal-style grandeur. The lobby evokes a 19th-century sea captain's parlor: Oriental carpets, dark wood, carved angels above the mantle. Rooms are classically furnished, some with fireplaces. Full English breakfasts are served in the oak-paneled, plaid-upholstered Scottish dining room.
Our independent authors have visited Captain Lindsey House and selected this as one of our recommended boutique hotels in Rockland.
