   Not only is it the prestigious alma mater of five US presidents but it's one cool campus thick with Gothic buildings. Most impressive of the spires is Harkness Tower, from which a carillon peals at measured moments throughout the day. For campus tours or to pick up a campus map, drop by Yale's visitor center on the north side of the Green. There are free one-hour tours at 10:30am and 2pm weekdays, and at 1:30pm on weekends.
