Manchester Getting there & around

Getting there & away

Fast growing but still not too large, Manchester Airport (603-624-6539; www.flymanchester.com), off US 3 south of Manchester, is a civilized alternative to Boston’s Logan International Airport.

Concord Trailways (603-228-3300, www.concordtrailways.com) runs frequent daily buses to Logan International Airport ($15, 1½ hours) and South Station ($11, one hour) in Boston, as well as north to Concord ($5, 30 minutes). Buses depart from the Manchester Transportation Center (603-668-6133; 119 Canal St).

Driving from Boston to Manchester via I-93 and the Everett Turnpike takes an hour. It’s another 30 minutes from Manchester to Concord via I-93.
