Ipswich is on the Newburyport line of the MBTA commuter rail (617-222-3200, 800-392-6100; www.mbta.com). Trains leave Boston’s North Station for Ipswich ($6.75, 50 minutes) about 12 times each weekday and five times on Saturday (no trains Sunday).
