Celebrated chef Dan Smith turns out organic mountain lamb, a daily risotto and a fine Italian–New American menu with most items grown on nearby farms. The setting, a rustic 19th-century farmhouse overlooking a garden, makes a perfect match for the menu. Excellent desserts and wine selection, too.
The $30 prix fixe specials on Sundays are absolutely worth the 6-mile trek west from Great Barrington.
