The menu reads like a who's who of local farms: Ioka Valley Farm grass-fed natural beef, Rawson Brook chevre and Equinox Farm mesclun greens. Chef-owner Michael Ballon's preparations range from innovative vegetarian fare to classics like rack of lamb.

The setting is as engaging as the food, with both a jazzy bar with a pub menu and an art-filled dining room. Prime time to dine is on Friday or Saturday, when there's live jazz.
