My boyfriend and I were hoping to travel to America next year for around 3 weeks in November. We wanted to visit New York, San Francisco, California (including a day at Universal Studio's and Yosemite National Park) just to give a brief idea.
What would everyone suggest? Also needs to be fairly affordable so not too concerned about staying 5 star and eating fancy.
On average whats a good amount to aim to save.
I am looking for a 10 day adventure in the US that is going to be starting November 23. Ideally there would be outdoor activities and good relaxation spots. I don't have to stay in the same city all 10 days, but trying find a starting place.
Does anyone need a hotel for Jazz Fest?
I made a reservation at the Royal Sonesta French Quarter for Jazz Fest, but thanks to a change in plans, I'm no longer able to use it.
I'm happy to transfer it to anyone that is interested. Check in is May 3rd and out on the 8th, although you might be able to modify the checkout date. $270/night plus taxes/fees.
My family and I are crossing the boarder from Canada to US by car. We are going to Boston and NY.
I was checking and the flights between those cities have the same price as the train so I think it will be more confortable going by plane.
My question is I don't need to request for ESTA because I am enter US by land but do you know if I will have any trouble on the airport doing a domestic flight?
I will be flying into Salt Lake City at 4 pm, July 24 renting a car, stopping at Dicks Sporting Goods to buy fuel cannisters, then need a place to camp for the night - want to be there before dark, so don't want to drive too far. I see Lodgepole Campground at Heber. I can reserve a spot for $20. I've researched dispersed camping without solid results. I know July/Aug is peak season for this area (heading to Yellowstone). Shall I snag this Lodgepole site with a reservation? Are there better…
Thank you for all the great information, where would be the best area to sleep in Los angles so we would be close to most everything ?
Best things to do there with kids not including disney and universal park?
Hi, we will have two weeks in California beginning of May with two kids (4 and 6 years). We start in San Francisco and plan to see both some nature (parks) and beaches (more south, Santa Barbara or San Diego).
For this nature part, we consider Yosemite or Sequoia but still have some doubts regarding which one to choose (or both?). Any comments or adivces?
thx a lot!
