Abbe Museum
Across from the village green, the Abbe Museum contains a fascinating collection of cultural artifacts related to Maine's Native American heritage. More than 50,000 objects are in the collection with pottery, tools, combs and fishing implements that span the last 2000 years. Contemporary pieces include finely wrought woodcarvings, birch-bark containers and baskets.

Bar Harbor Brewing Company
The tiny award-winning Bar Harbor Brewing Company is one of North America's smallest, producing just 260 barrels a year. Rich-roasted ales and dark creamy stouts are brewed, bottled and delivered by a husband-and-wife team. Free tours and tastings take place during the summer (currently ; - Tuesday to Friday). For the kids, the brewery makes root beer and 100% natural blueberry soda. It's located along ME 3, about 3 miles south of town.

One of Bar Harbor's biggest galleries, this place features the works of over 100 Maine artisans, with works in paper, glass, jewelry, metalwork and ceramics.
