Lonely Planet review

Arthurian legends notwithstanding, this medieval caricature, complete with crayon-colored towers and a faux drawbridge, epitomizes gaudy Vegas. Parents beware: this place looks more child-friendly than it actually feels inside.

Inside the mock castle, the casino walls are hung with coats of arms and cheap stained-glass imitations that depict valiant knights and lovely damsels. Down on the Fantasy Faire Midway are buried Ye Olde carnival games such as skee-ball, arcade attractions and joystick joys. For kids, the Tournament of Kings dinner show is a demolition derby with hooves and sticky fingers.
