Though guest rooms and suites at New York–New York aren't exactly standouts on the Strip, overnight guests generally give positive reviews – especially those who stay in more recently renovated rooms. Standard 'Park Avenue' rooms have 40in flat screen TVs and small marble baths. If you're able to spend a bit more, consider splashing out on a Marquis suite with a four-person Jacuzzi and views of the Strip below. Note that the wi-fi connection is slow, and coffee-makers are not included in most rooms. If you're sensitive to the lingering smell of cigarette smoke, talk to the receptionists at the front desk: you'll want to avoid staying in one of the rooms that's recently been converted from smoking to non-smoking.
