Sheraton Nashville Downtown Hotel
Lonely Planet review
A 25-floor hotel near the state building, the Sheraton caters primarily to a corporate set and thus offers lower rates on weekends. Rooms are decorated in simple, crisp earth tones. Ask for a room ending in the numbers 9,10,11, or 12 - they've got great views of the capitol building.
You can't miss the Nashville Sheraton, which towers over other downtown buildings and is topped with a cylindrical penthouse like a pillbox hat. Glass elevators zoom up and down the sunny atrium while business travellers type away on their laptops in the lobby. Rooms are elegantly spare, with separate sitting areas. The fitness center has a sauna and massage therapy for the road-weary and concierge service can book reservations at local restaurants and music venues. Pets are allowed with signing of a damage waiver upon check-in.
