Hotel rates are notoriously high in downtown and midtown. Book well in advance in these neighborhoods and expect to pay several hundred dollars per night on weekends, even at mid-level properties. Prices drop slightly at hotels near the airport, in Music Valley and south of downtown in Brentwood, Cool Springs and Franklin. A few B&Bs and inns dot the city.
