Lonely Planet review for Venetian Pool

'Swimming pool' doesn't even begin to describe the spring-fed Venetian Pool, made by filling in the limestone quarry used to build Coral Gables. With waterfalls, grottos and an Italianate feel, it looks like where rich mermaids would go on vacation. You can peek, but most of it's hidden behind stucco walls, wrought iron fences and bougainvillea - best to dive right in.
