Lonely Planet review
Inconspicuously located on the second floor of a busy Downtown street, this cheerful guesthouse is one of Memphis' best kept and most unique secrets. Spacious suites are more like hip studio apartments than hotel rooms, with Asian rugs, funky local artwork, and kitchens stocked with (included!) snacks.
Big stars like Harvey Keitel, Matt Damon and John Grisham have nested here as well as Bobby Whitlock of Derek and the Dominos fame, who signed a piano.
Our independent authors have visited Talbot Heirs and selected this as one of our recommended guesthouses in Memphis.
Services & facilities
A tradition dating to the 1930s begins every day at 11am sharp when five ducks file from the Peabody Hotel's gilded elevator, waddle...
Beautiful people sip fancy house cocktails (think handmade syrups, rosemary garnishes) at this swank new downtown lounge.
Automatic Slim's Tonga Club
This sleek, artsy bistro has fusion fare like jerk duck and coconut shrimp, and huge, crayon-colored cocktails.
