    Delightful! Highly Recommend!

    ridermike recommends this,

Ok, so I'm 100% not your typical artfag-type whatsoever. In fact, I had to be dragged here by my artsy sister, whose tastes I doubted, and I didn't really know what to expect. I thought I'd be finding strange pottery sculptures and vases and junk like that. BOY WAS I WRONG!

This place has tons and tons and tons of awesome modern art, and by modern, I don't mean the junky crap they have at the other MOCA building, just down the street (the main one with Andy Warhol's Campbell Soup Cans, etc), no, this has modern art by young people, so you know it's going to be interesting and cutting-edge! Tons of graffiti art, which I found to be spectacular, and exhibits that are not really within my ability to describe.

Go on a Thursday when it's free, if you can't afford to pay for this, but no matter what, do not miss it, if you're in LA.

Also, a word of caution: Absolutely do not, under any circumstance, go to the OTHER MOCA, which is SW of the Disney Concert Hall. That's where you'll be robbed of $10 to see a single-color rectangle with a single line through it, and have it be called "art". Pure garbage, and an insult to humanity, that place. Go to the MOCA Geffen, at 1st and S Central!
