Lonely Planet review for Swingers

Americana with a dollop of Hollywood is the ammo of this genuine retro diner where booths are red and servers wear fishnet stockings. Join the kool kids combating hunger pangs or hangovers with juicy burgers, awesome fries and other all-American faves while Little Richard heats up the juke box.

Where the bacon's greasy - but organic!

    janeyo recommends this,

Swingers is the diner-junkie's dream come true. When you're used to keeping one hand on the defibrillator when your big diner breakie comes out, you'll have no such artery-clogging terror here at Swingers. Yep, it's classic diner fare in a classic diner space - plaid stools at the bar, deep booths with stars and stripes tiles behind them and a wall dedicated to Warhol's cow wallpaper - and sure you can get your eggs and sides, but you can also get soyrizo scramble, a side of black beans, vegan nachos and some of the smoothest mac cheese on the West Coast.

Swingers is open dirty late and since it's situated under the Beverly Laurel Motel (a revived 60s motel popular with touring bands) it's perfect for a rock and roll midnight snack and a mutual tattoo admiration moment.
