The Palomar, in the Westwood neighborhood near UCLA, has an eco-friendly, good-for-you vibe with an urban aesthetic and central location, at rates that won't fray your nerves. Even the TV is your friend here, streaming health and fitness programs and the Yoga Channel.
The Palomar, the first LA outpost of the Kimpton Hotel Group, proves that environmentally friendly and socially progressive policies can still feel luxurious. Rooms, decent sized though not palatial, feature Frette linens on the beds and L'Occitaine amenities in the bath, alongside faux-fur throws, organic goodies in the minibar and artful accents throughout. In-room spa treatments include massage, facials and body treatments. Wi-fi, newspapers and morning coffee or tea are all free, and concierges are available to assist with reservations for restaurants and attractions. Pets are welcome too.
