Like many a rockstar who used to stay here, the former 'rock 'n' roll Hyatt' has been transformed by a new name and face-lift. Rooms face Sunset Blvd (larger but noisier) or the Hollywood Hills, and boast clean lines, sleek oak furniture and bamboo-fiber robes. The rooftop pool deck has sweeping views, and the lobby lounge offers morning coffee, pastries and all-day snacks. Parking is $25.
