When we came through, the salesman told a story about how when he visited the West Bank the only ad he saw was a giant picture of Clooney sipping a Nespresso. This happened in Jericho. Yet here, in the gleaming American flagship of a brand he helped re-invent, in a city in which he lives, there are no shots of Clooney.
