Lonely Planet review for Firefly

Firefly is always packed with a fashionable local crowd, not just for the singles’ scene on the late-night patio, but also for the food. Tapas-style dishes are often fusion-spiced, but still shake hands with Spanish tradition, from patatas bravas to chorizo clams and vegetarian delights. A backlit bar dispenses the house specialty sangria and infused mojitos. On some nights, hot Latin turntablists spin. Reservations strongly recommended.

Tapas to die - I mean, live! - for

    freetobe recommends this,

The moment my girlfriends and I stepped inside this busy little restaurant, I knew it was love at first scent for My Stomach.

The décor was dark, music popping in the background, people laughing and enjoying each other’s company, a seemingly hotspot for a fun crowd – exactly what we were looking for in a Las Vegas dining experience. The room we entered was filled, so we were led to its adjacent room next door which looked more like a lounge than a restaurant, with a bar and DJ on the side. Our server scored immediately with us, helping us choose from a wide selection of dishes and selecting a couple of drinks for us, one of which included the winning lychee infused vodka.

Firefly specializes in tapas, which in my humble opinion, is an ideal restaurant choice because who doesn’t love variety and having the option to try multiple (and by multiple, I mean about nine) dishes at once?! A few favorites included: artichokes baked over toasted bread, mozzarella and tomatoes wrapped in eggplant (broiled), potatas bravas (the drizzled sauce over it was amazing!), and baby back ribs. A little shout out to the ribs – amazing! The meat fell right off the bones.. its tenderness and juiciness completely satisfied my palate for the evening.

Needless to say, My Stomach left feeling deliciously pleased and left me missing Spain even more so.
