Lounge entertainment in Las Vegas

  1. A

    Voodoo Lounge

The views from the patio are fab, but the Day-Glo décor and lounge bands are just for laughs. Baby boomers get drunk on exotic drinks, like the ‘Witchy Woman, ’ which comes in a bowl steaming with dry ice. Monday is a hot Latin libido frenzy, while VooDoo Risin’ on Thursday imports hip-hop and house DJs. Otherwise it’s not worth much of a wait to get in, let alone a cover charge. Quasi-strict dress code.

    Blush

A long, narrow room beckons with glowing paper lanterns, gauzy drapery, candlelit tables, a starlight patio and premium VIP bottle service beside a boutique-sized onyx dance floor. The cover charge may be waived before midnight. Two more no-cover lounges nearby for smoochy drinks are Wynn’s Parasol Up and lakeside Parasol Down.

    Revolution Lounge

Fans of the original Fab Four can drop into this psychedelic Beatles-themed ultra lounge created by Cirque du Soleil. DJs spin just about everything, from down-tempo house, Brit pop, hip-hop and world-music fusion to mash-ups of classic rock and ’80s new wave. The no-cover Abbey Road Bar out front opens at noon daily.

    Caramel

A launchpad for clubgoers, this buttery-yellow and rich chocolate-brown lounge shakes a mean martini and spins everything from remixes of retro lounge tunes to 21st-century hip hop. Velvet curtains, leather couches, handblown glass sculptures and plasma TVs will keep your eyes mesmerized. No line, no hassles.

    Mix

Arrive at around sunset for a free glass-elevator ride up to this sky-high restaurant lounge with some of Las Vegas’ most breathtaking views – and that’s even before you glimpse the wall-to-wall leather seating and the champagne bar. Go hobnobbing on the vertiginous outdoor patio.

    Tabú

Sensual sophistication rules Vegas’ original ultra lounge. Above-par DJs spin Euro-style house to an interactive backdrop while stunhostesses who also happen to be models mix cocktails tableside. The lineup outside is as artificial as some of the ladies’ assets.

    Rush Lounge

It’s too near the ding-ding-ding of the slots. Still, downtown’s swankiest lounge has a sizzlin’ lineup of live bands performing many nights. Leather banquettes, sultry lighting and a signature cocktail list may tempt you to stay for more than one set.

    The Dome

This sports betting lounge with 16 big-screen TVs and two-buck beers is enclosed by a glass dome hovering at the west end of the Fremont Street Experience, as seen in Casino and Pay It Forward. We can’t vouch for the odds, but the view is unique.

    Ghostbar

With its 360-degree panoramas and sci-fi decor, the Palms’ 55th-floor watering hole pulls in a clubby crowd thick with hip-hop stars and pro athletes. The lineup of hoochie mamas and wannabe gangstas can be tiresome, but the views are to die for. Dress to kill.

    Hookah Lounge

Next to Paymon’s Mediterranean Café, you can recline languorously with a water pipe stuffed with one of 20 premium flavored Egyptian tobaccos. Exotic fig-flavored cocktails are pricier than the off-Strip norm, but for ambience worthy of a pasha, why not?

    Big Apple Bar

Raising torch singers and rockin’ cover bands on a swank stage above the bar, this high-impact lounge flung wide open to the casino floor really jumps. Red velvet curtains and gold filigree make it as tempting as the fruit in the Garden of Eden.

    Fireside Lounge

Don’t be blinded by the outlandish rainbow-colored neon lights: the Strip’s most spellbinding hideaway awaits inside this retro coffee shop. Courting couples adore the sunken fire pit, cozy blue-velvet nooks and faux tropical foliage. Sip a Scorpion.

    Downtown Cocktail Room

With a retro cocktail list you must take seriously, this speakeasy with sateen pillows and suede-covered couches feels decades removed from the old-school carpet joints on Fremont St. In true Prohibition-era style, the entrance is disguised.

Inside this wall-hugging lounge, which looks like a glowing blossom turned inside out, a massive wall of liquor bottles with flashing backlit images and the red leather and slick chrome seating enhance the mod design vibe.

    Suede

Decked out in purple-velvet banquettes and crystal chandeliers, this restaurant and lounge is a mellow spot where amateur drag shows, gay karaoke and live music often take to the stage.

Lingerie-clad coquettes tease, taunt and flaunt their bountiful assets at this low-lit ultra lounge, styled like a French bordello, where DJs spin. Stylish dress code.
