Between 6pm and 10pm on the first Friday of each month, a carnival of 10,000 art lovers, hipsters, indie musicians and sundry hangers-on wander around the downtown arts and antiques district for First Friday evenings. These giant block parties come alive with gallery openings accompanied by performance art, music, fortune tellers and tattoo artists.
