Lonely Planet review for Stratosphere Tower
The world’s highest thrill rides await, a whopping 110 stories above the Strip. Big Shot straps riders into completely exposed seats that zip up the tower’s pinnacle, while Insanity spins riders out over the tower’s edge. Views from xScream are good, but the ride itself is a dud. If you want an adrenaline rush, save your dough for the SkyJump instead.

The scariest ride in the world?
steveomac recommends this,
I totally disagree - sure the big shot is good but the xScream is no dud, it is awesome! Picture a rollercoaster with a short track, you strap in and it rockets you into the Nevada dessert before slamming on the breaks and pulling you to a screeching halt - then just for kicks the whole thing drops about two meters before slowly getting slowly pulled back to the safety of the viewing platform - only to go through it all again. Tip - the front seats are the only place to take this ride.
