But this legendary instrument maker near Restaurant Row specializes in the real thing: handcrafted ukuleles made on Oʻahu, with prices starting around $500. In business since 1916, its signature instrument is a 'pineapple' ukulele with an oval-shaped body that produces a less twangy sound.
