Lonely Planet review for 'Ulalena
Along the lines of a Cirque du Soleil-style show, this extravaganza has its home at the 700-seat Maui Theatre. The theme is Hawaiian history and storytelling; the medium is modern dance, brilliant stage sets, acrobats and elaborate costumes. All in all, an entertaining, high-energy performance.

Gorgeous colors, catchy beats, still listening to the music.
anickilee recommends this,
Uses all aspects of language (fun stunts, body movement, levels of music, costuming) to tell the story of the Hawaiian Islands from Polynesian settlement to Missionary settlement, through the Sugar Cane revolution. If you know nothing about Hawaii, skim a Wikipedia entry to get background information so you can get lost in the experience 'Ulalena gives you instead of just being lost. Essentially, the story is of the transitions the Land of Hawaii has gone through and the love each generation of "Hawaiians" have for it, no matter their original affiliation, but it is easy enough to enjoy the show just for the sheer spectacle of the performance.
Bring another layer if you get cold easily.
