Lonely Planet review

Well, once it was secret. Now a favorite for getaway weddings, it’s a toss-up whether you’ll have this little pocket cove all to yourself or it’ll be packed to the brim with tuxes and tulle. But this lovely postcard-size beach of golden sand with a straight-on view of Kahoʻolawe is certainly worth a peek. The cove is a quarter-mile after the southernmost Makena State Park parking lot. The entrance is through an opening in a lava-rock wall just south of house No 6900.
