Garden Island Inn
Lonely Planet review
If you don’t mind loud flowers painted everywhere, with bedspreads to match, this friendly, family-oriented beach hotel may be for you. The location is great, across the street from the corner of Kalapaki Beach, but the artificial waterfall is not what it is cracked up to be. Rooms are modest but cheerful, with tropical decor, overhead fans, quality double beds and kitchenettes; free beach gear is more than welcome. Did we mention the painted flowers?
