Lonely Planet review

When in Hilo, eat as the Hiloans eat – at this unanimous-favorite, family-run diner. The fluffy pancakes, fried-rice loco moco and the 1lb laulau (bundle of pork or chicken and salted butterfish, wrapped in taro and ti leaves and steamed) plates do lip-smacking justice to local grinds (food).
