Lonely Planet review
This place is a one-of-a-kind experience. It's a back-to-nature yurt, a cool cross between camping and a cottage, but utterly romantic. The hilltop setting overlooking Hana Bay is a stunner. Traditional Hawaiian massage and body treatments are available on the spot.
The yurt is surprisingly comfy inside, with a queen bed, ceiling fan and a well-equipped kitchenette. You'll shower au naturel outdoors, behind a bamboo screen surrounded by tropical flowers. A Hawaiian thatched hale (house), built in a traditional style without nails, sits next to the yurt and makes an ideal place to enjoy a sunset drink. Optional spa treatments include such yummy pamperings as papaya pineapple scrubs, seaweed wraps and lomilomi (massage). Since there's just one yurt here, the place is private at night. However other people do come up for spa treatments in the hale during the day, which may invade your space. Although the garden setting feels like you're in the jungle, the yurt is right on the edge of town and within walking distance of everything.
