Lonely Planet review for Mall of America

In Bloomington, the Mall of America is the USA's largest shopping center. Yes, it's just a mall, filled with the usual stores, movie theaters and eateries. But there's also a wedding chapel inside.

I use to live in the Twin Cities and Mall of America is my favorite shopping place. It has all the typical mall stores, sometimes more than one of the same store. There also also some that are unique to Minnesota. In the middle is an indoor theme park called Nickelodeon Universe. It's a popular children's birthday party location. There are two food courts as well as lots of other food choices throughout the mall. That includes everything from fast food chains to much more high end sit down restaurants. There is a pretty big movie theater. There's also an aquarium called Underwater Adventures. The tank is like in an arc shape so it's like you are walking through/under the water. The mall also has a Lego Land. Despite how big it is, you won't get lost. Each level is basically a big square connecting the four anchor department stores. There are directories everywhere too. Sometimes it can be kind of busy on the weekends but I don't find it very overwhelming then either.
