This place is the bedrock of Minneapolis' music scene - over 35 years old, and still pulling top bands and big crowds. From the Ramones and the Kinks in the 70s through to the Chemical Brothers and assorted DJs in the 90s, some illustrious names have graced its stage. But it's probably best known for its starring role in the Prince film Purple Rain .
