Henry Ford cranked out the first Model T in this landmark factory. Admission includes a tour into the workshop and 'experimental room,' plus loads of classic cars to view. It's about 1 mile northeast of the Detroit Institute of Arts.

The White Stripes and Von Bondies are rockers who've risen from the beer-splattered ranks at the Magic Stick. The Majestic Theater next door hosts larger shows. There's bowling, billiards, a pizza joint and cafe. Something cool rocks here nightly.
