Tax dollars well spent...
I live in Jackson, WY and will be visiting family in San Francisco for Thanksgiving. My boyfriend and I figured we would make a road trip out of it since it will be off season in Jackson anyway (the tail end of it at least). We figure we would probably take 2 weeks to do it and would probably not go any farther south than San Francisco (we've done SoCal plenty but never done up into Oregon). Thinking we would start off Monday before Thanksgiving heading to San Fran maybe two nights in Reno or…
I am new to cycling and plan to spend around 80 days cycling from Chicago, IL to Calgary, AB, passing through Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota before crossing the border for Saskaswan and Alberta.
Anybody have any tips on nice towns and cities to visit - I am currently planning my specific route. Will be embarking on the trip in April 2015.
*I have travelled 20+ states in the US so far
*Will have travel authorisation
*Enjoy history, wildlife, city life, clubs, coffee houses,…
Hi guys, I decided to use this forum as I thought I would receive the most useful advice. Next year I will (hopefully) be starting university in september. However, aside from a holiday to Ayia Napa in June for a fortnight, I have no plans for summer. A few years ago I went to California and LOVED it. I didn't visit LA, but I loved San Fran and Big Sur/ Monterey. I live in the UK, will be 18 by next year and would love a way to spend a couple of months over there working. I have no idea where to…

Texas - 8 days - include Austin, Dallas and Houston show (Houston Show - 3 days, homestay at a ranch - 2 days).
Fly out of Dallas early / Mid March.
We are looking for the…
Hey everyone! Three of my colleagues/friends and I are in town for a few days for a conference this weekend and we need some help.
We like a good selection of beers, we are all into craft beers so we'd really like to find a bar/pub/gastropub that has a good selection. We're staying in Nob Hill so if you have any spots near there it would be great!
In terms of food we aren't really picky but we like Mexican, we really like BBQ/Comfort and we love Sushi/Asian. We still need to figure out…
Going to Lake Placid in February for a ski trip from the Toronto area. Somebody told me that some people from southern Ontario cross the border at Cornwall and drive down to Lake Placid. There are other border crossings just past Gananoque (Ontario) and another one just past Brockville (through Ogdensburg, NY) which look closer on the map.
Which one of these crossings would be the best route to take in Feb?
