Getting there & around
St Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport (727-453-7800; www.fly2pie.com) has several major carriers serving the US and Canada. It also has car rentals. Widespread Greyhound (727-898-1496; 180 9th St N) services include Tampa ($7, 35 minutes). Amtrak trains don’t go to St Pete’s, but there is a bus link from Tampa.
Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA; 727-540-1900; www.psta.net; day pass/concession $3.50/1.50) operates PSTA buses citywide and the Suncoast Beach Trolley that links the beaches from Clearwater to Pass-a-Grille. The Looper trolley (per ride 25¢; 10am-5pm Sun-Thu, to midnight Fri & Sat) links the museums and St Petersburg Pier on a 30-minute narrated loop.
