Museum of Man in the Sea

There's a cool collection of old diving suits and a sea life-filled aquarium. Divers and nondivers will be inspired.

St Andrews State Recreation Area
A haven from the hurdy-gurdy of activity, the peaceful St Andrews State Recreation Area spans 1260 acres graced with nature trails, swimming beaches, and wildlife including foxes, coyotes, snakes, alligators and seabirds. One of the best places to swim with children is the 'kiddie pool's' 4ft deep water near the jetties area. There's also excellent camping. You can still see the circular cannon platforms from its prior use as a military reservation during WWII, on the beach near the jetties.

Zoo World Zoological & Botanical Park
Home to more than 350 animals, including 15 endangered species, and over 250 species of plants, the Zoo World Zoological & Botanical Park participates in the government's Species Survival Plan to breed endangered animals. Among those born here are five African lion cubs, a Sumatran tiger and three mandrills (baboons); there's a glass-fronted nursery where you can watch the adorable babes in their infancy. Kids love the cuddly petting zoo.
