  14. Gatorland

This Old Florida throwback is small, silly and kitschy. It's all about alligators, with gator wrestling, gators jumping, feeding gators hot dogs and other great squeal-worthy moments.

Just past the gates to SeaWorld, Discovery Cove and Aquatica, this dark little place makes an ideal dinner choice after a day of dolphin shows and waterslides. 27. Green Meadows Petting Farm

Take a day in the country at this farm about 30 minutes' drive from Disney. You can pet the farm animals, milk a cow, ride a pony and the little train. It's certainly a pleasant spot with plenty of shade and grass, a picnic area and a playground, but unfortunately you can't just wander around – you must go on a more than two-hour tour. They run continuously until 3pm, but there's no regular schedule and if there aren't enough people, the tour is cancelled. If you arrive after 3pm, you may not be allowed in. Call for directions.
