Lonely Planet review

Children and adults alike head to this park to inner-tube down the shallow stream created by Rock Spring. The bucolic 1-mile stretch takes about 30 minutes to leisurely float down, and there are several spots where you can get out along the way. Rent an inner tube near the park entrance ($5). To get to the park, take I-4 north to the exit 101C, State Rd 46 (Sanford/Mt Dora), then head west just over 12 miles to Mt Plymouth Rd (County Rd 435). Turn left and drive 4 miles to Kelly Park Rd; make a left and take it 0.8 miles to the end. Campsites with water and electricity ($23) can be reserved up to 45 days in advance. There’s a small concession in the park, and the nearby town of Apopka has several restaurants.
