Other sights in Naples

  1. Lowdermilk Park

LowdermilkPark, north of Old Naples, has restrooms, vending machines, picnicking places and volleyball courts showcasing some of the best players around. If you’re a world-class player visiting from, say, Hawaii, you might be able to join them. Otherwise, just watch the buff bods. And again, bring quarters for the meters.

East of the pier, the late-19th-century Palm Cottage, home to the Collier County Historical Society, offers tours of one of the last remaining ‘tabby mortar’ homes in southwest Florida. Tabby was a kind of paste made from burning shells.
