   Rumored to have curative powers, Salt Springs is a favorite with RV owners for its lovely shady areas. Head to the marina, about half a mile south of the recreation area in front of the doctor's office, where you can rent vessels to cruise enormous Lake Kerr: canoes ($20), pontoon boats ($70 for four hours, $110 daily plus gas) or a 16ft Carolina skiff ($27.50 for four hours, $45 daily plus gas).
