Lonely Planet review
Nestled at the foot of Pike’s Peak, the Cliff House offers the discriminating traveler a Victorian boutique experience in charming Manitou Springs. It started as a 20-room boarding house and stagecoach stop in 1844. Today it’s a luxurious country inn with an old-fashioned vibe and fabulous mountain views.
Complete with turrets and amazing views of Pikes Peak and the surrounding mountains, rooms are styled in late-1800s decor. Warm yellow wallpaper, soothing white duvets and thick gilded drapes set an old-fashioned tone, while 21st-century conveniences such as towel warmers, steam showers, gas fireplaces and spa tubs built for two bring this four-diamond-rated hotel up to modern standards.
Out of season, room rates can drop to as low as $100; a hefty service fee and parking fee are extra.
Our independent authors have visited Cliff House at Pikes Peak and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Colorado Springs & Southern Front Range.
