Lonely Planet review

A vast emporium based on counterculture and pop trends, the Alley offers everything from pot pipes to band posters to human-sized dog collars. Loud, obnoxious punk-rock tees ('I've got the biggest dick in the band' etc) are a specialty of the house. The labyrinth of rooms includes one devoted to the Alley's 'Architectural Revolution' store, which sells items that have found a mainstream market with non-dog-collar-wearing interior designers.
