Lonely Planet review
The City Suites may remind European visitors pleasantly of home. The mod, art-deco-tinged rooms and lobby buzzing just off Belmont Ave are vaguely reminiscent of Amsterdam. The El races right by the hotel, so light sleepers should ask for a room away from the tracks. Compared to the Majestic and Willows, the owners’ other two properties, the City Suites skews a bit younger and livelier. As with the others, there’s free wi-fi throughout and a pass to nearby Bally’s fitness club. Parking costs $22.
