  2. Gundlach-Bundschu

Gundlach-Bundschu feels like a storybook castle, with its own lake, picnic area and hiking trails. Founded in 1858 by Bavarian immigrant, Jacob Gundlach, rieslings and gewürztraminers are its signatures, but 'Gun-Bun' was also the first winery in America to produce 100% merlot. It's up a winding road which is very picturesque for biking.
