Getting there & away
Golden Gate Transit (415-923-2000; www.goldengatetransit.org) bus 10 travels from San Francisco (one-way $3.95) and Sausalito (one-way $2) via Mill Valley to Tiburon. During the week, commute bus 8 runs direct between San Francisco and Tiburon.
On Hwy 101, look for the off-ramp for Tiburon Blvd, E Blithedale Ave and Hwy 131; driving east, it leads into town and intersects with Juanita Lane and Main St.
Blue & Gold Fleet (415-773-1188; Pier 41, Fisherman’s Wharf; one-way $7.50) sails daily from San Francisco to Tiburon; ferries dock right in front of the Guaymas restaurant on Main St. You can transport bicycles for free. From Tiburon, ferries also connect regularly to nearby Angel Island.
