Lonely Planet review
Now a stylish and comfortable contemporary hotel with a grill restaurant, the concrete hallways and staircases testify to the more basic motel it once was. The best value in town, it’s a short stroll to anywhere – including the ferry – and there’s a pool, DVD library, rental bikes, free parking and a rooftop deck with fireplace and heady Mt Tamalpais views.
Our independent authors have visited The Lodge at Tiburon and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Tiburon.
Description provided by property
Nestled at the tip of the scenic Tiburon Peninsula around the cove from Sausalito, on the San Francisco Bay, The Lodge at Tiburon, a 3-story, 102-room California Craftsman style upscale lodge is set among 3 beautiful acres, just off Main Street in this quaint Marin County sailing village.
Ideal as a home base and starting point for a Northern California holiday, the resort-style Lodge at Tiburon is minutes from world-class recreational offerings like trekking in Muir Woods, sailing and ocean kayaking off Angel Island and wine tasting in the Sonoma and Napa Valleys.
Offering comfort cuisine and featuring a farm-to-table dining approach, The Tiburon Tavern is located on-site at The Lodge at Tiburon. Guests can relax in the tavern’s gastropub atmosphere, which offers the area’s only self-serving wine bar.
